Team Manager

The WYH Team Manager is responsible for positively representing WYH with parents, players, coaches, and visiting teams. The Team Manager works with the Head Coach to employ the following responsibilities associated with managing a team. The Team Manager is typically selected by the team Coach and/or team parents. The Team Manager must have access to email, computer, phone, Crossbar smartphone application and have texting capability.

The responsibilities of the Team Manager are as follows:

• · Attend the mandatory Manager’s meeting at the start of the season.
• · Working with the head coach, schedule and hold a parent meeting at the start of the season. At this meeting, the Coach discusses expectations and answers questions. This meeting takes place within the first two weeks of the season.
• Coordinate with the Head Coach for any schedule modifications including adding games to be coordinated with the WYH Game Scheduler.
• Coordinate game workers for home games include a timekeeper, scoresheet worker, and two penalty box/shot counters
• Hold a Home Tournament Planning Meeting approximately one month prior to the Home Tournament discussing required work shifts for games, raffle table, donation requirements, and decorations. The patch packet must be returned to the tournament director once the Home Tournament commences.
• Be a communication liaison for the WYH Board of Directors and the families on your team. Ask for updates to team webpage as necessary. Share photos and stories for the monthly newsletter.
• Coordinate hotel blocks for away tournaments·
• Lead a culture of engagement within the team and for WYH

Optional responsibilities include the following (these can also be delegated):

• ·Organize social gatherings throughout the year i.e. team bonding, team dinners, bowling; there is typically a team party at the end of the year.
• Work with team families to create door hangers with player names and numbers for hotel stays
